    Sitabani, as the name suggests, is associated with the Ramayana, a Hindu epic. It is believed that Sita, the protagonist of Ramayana, spent her days stranded in exile during the agnipariksha episode. SitaBani is a birdwatchers’ paradise and there is an ashram tucked away in the jungle. Panthers and other wildlife move to Sitabani when the tourist season is on in Corbett.

    It is located in the area of Ramnagar, Sitabani Temple is considered that Devi Sita came into the lap of Mother Earth at this place. The Temple is devoted to Goddess Sita. A fair is celebrated here during Ramnavami every year. This temple is situated at a distance of 20 Kms from Ramnagar.
